This fabric is one of my favorite ones that I shopped in downtown Toronto. (Designer’s Fabric Center)
It’s not cheap though, but, I was willing buy it just because I want to use it to make a handbag for myself, and may be a little garment for Erika. (not for selling this time.)

This bag’s pattern is from a Japanese template (by Clover.)

another view of the bag
The template thing is just so handy and I can trace them directly to the fabric.
I can make as many bags as I want to by using the same template.
And there are a-h (total 8 styles) different bag styles in one plastic template..
so, what’s it?
Go HERE to take a look, I bought the template from this online store.
COOL, right?
This store ships the products directly from Japan, and the good thing is that it’s quite fast the shipping and the packaging is nice.
This is a lunch bag that I made this noon.

I like the fabric for this bag, because of it’s country style.

This bag is quite sturdy because the fabric for the lining is quite sturdy with fusible attached to it.
I love this bag’s design because it has a little cover inside the bag, which is for covering your lunch box and fruits.

The ribbon was added by me, I want the bag to be more secure.

I made another new bag again.

project bag with pocket inside
It’s so fast to sew!

pocket inside the bag
This time, I added a little pocket inside the bag. it can hold cell phone there.
Next time, I think I am going to make something more complicated.
it’s so excited!

The yarn that I am using for Angle (Kauni)
After the long weekend, everything is back to normal.
I didn’t touch the needles in the weekend, but I picked them up again yesterday.

Angle, the 1st section
I started a new project by Tora Frøseth Design ; her designs are very modern and special.
I bought two patterns from her, and the one that I began is Angle.

the first section of Angle
The size that I am working on is for 12 -24 months. I am still struggling if I shall make it for my friend’s son and Erika.
The yarn that I am using is Kauni wool, it’s not very SOFT though, but I knew that it will soften a bit after wash. So, I will see how it goes.
I also started a big project: blanket for my friend’s son. I hope I can get it done soon…

blanket for my friend's son

pouch for swap partner, with fusible inside.

I did some sewing as well, I did one pouch again (this time, not sew by hand, it’s by machine) for my swap partner, and the other little bag is for ‘practice only’. but, somehow, I really like it and I think I will use this bag for holding small things such as Erika’s little box of Cheerios/ little bottle of water. It’s great to hold these items while shopping in the mall with her.

the handles
I think I started to fall in love with sewing, because it’s fast to finish a project, if you compare with the speed of knitting.
Of course i won’t put down the needles, I still have lots of fun to knit.
In the past weekend, we went to Niagara Fall, and then we came back on Sunday and had dinner with my parents.
On labour day, we did go out for lunch with my parents (and grandma too) , and then we all went to Chuck E cheese again! Afterwards, we went to Vaughan Mills Mall as well, however, didn’t buy anything (oh well, just a single scoop of ice-cream from Laura Secord ,haha!) My dad helped us to take lots of pictures (about 300 pictures!!) Since there were so many of them, i didn’t have ‘energy’ to organize them. But once I get it done, I will post the best ones up.
(also some video clips as well..)
I love this yarn: Manos uruguay wool multicolor.

Just perfect with this pattern (my so called scarf), however, I am not going to use this for a scarf, I am going to convert it to be a bag.

I think 2 skeins should be enough for a big bag.
I already finished half of it, I wish I can finish it off tomorrow..
and I need to shop for a handle as well, oh , where shall I shop? May be the Fabric land near my house.
Lovely color…..
Lovely texture…

one thing that I don’t really like is that the yarn is a little bit stinky with the dye *smell like knitting with vinegar*. Otherwise, this yarn is perfect for winter!
Needle size: US 11
