I think I am addicted to yarn!

1. wool in the woods cherub, 2. wind song multi, 3. duet swell, 4. socks that rock brown black, 5. posh yarn red, 6. colinette purple multi, 7. yarn anonymous, 8. colinette bulk purple, 9. mama llama yarn purple

I just received some new yarn that I bid in ebay, and also some ‘new’ ones from Ravelry’s members.

They are all so yummy and the prices are quite good though. :)

I might give away some of them to my swap partners (I joined 4 swaps! Believe it?!)

It’s fun to join those swaps, meeting more new knitters and friends.

I also tried to knit more rows for my daughter’s cardigan.

I already did the upper part of the cardigan and started the lace section.

I love the color of this yarn, the orange and purple mix is quite special though! I hope it will look good on Erika.

Tomorrow will be my daughter, Erika’s 1st birthday!
We already received one gift, HOWEVER, we already had that toy for ERika!

My husband will go to ToyRus and see if they can let us exchange another toy, or give us a credit note.

Here is a new project that I started few days ago,

it’s a new cardigan from Knitty.com (the Helena)

I think this is an easy and fast project!
the yarn that I am using is Jojoland Rhythm (purple/orange tone)

Actually, I love the red/brown tone better, however, at the time I purchased this yarn, there were no choice.

This yarn is made in China, honestly, the color is great, but the quality of the yarn isn’t that perfect.
The yarn is like ‘twisted yarn’ (combined of 3 strands) , but sometimes, one or two of the strands broke while knitting. So, for my cardigan, I already few knots on the neck edge because of the breakages.

ALthough there is a little problem with the yarn, I still love to knit with it, I believe that it will look great for this pattern.

I finished the reglan part and started the bodice section.

It’s fuN!

Lush and Lace Cardigan

Finally, I’ve got this cardigan done yesterday!

I am so happy about it, first of all, I can finish a cardigan around 10 days! And it’s no longer a cardigan for my baby, but for myself!

The yarn that I used is Rowan Soft Lux, I used that before (for my cabled scarf).
I love this yarn, it’s very soft and light in weight.
I had 10 balls in my stash, and I only needed 5 balls for this cardigan.

Sounds great huh!

I love the diamond lace part, especially the back and the sleeves.

I also love the little pockets, although I think they aren’t that functional (if I put something inside the pocket, it will weigh down the garment, so, I am not going to …) , but, it looks cuter with them at the front of the cardigan.

Lastly, I actually love the ruffle section at the back, but not for the sleeves.
since I usually wear jacket when I go out,  if I have a ‘bulky’ sleeves, it will be very hard to fit my jacket.

Here is the close up of the buttons that  I used. In the pattern, it suggests to use 3 pairs of buttons, but I just used two.

Here is the back of the cardigan.

I shall wear this and take a picture of it, but need to wait for my husband to give me a hand.

Will post the picture of myself with this cardigan later. :)

Fall in love with the PINK

I love PINK, since I was very very young…

even though now, I am already 30 something,I still love it. :)

I bought two bags of new Japanese yarn today..

I can’t wait to start a project with them, it’s just so nice the color and the quality.

THe first one is on sale yarn, they are 100% wool and only cost me $5 each.
I bought a whole bag of 10 balls, because the yardage for each ball is only around 80 meters. It’s safe to buy more because you can’t find any more in the store.

The second one is new SPRING yarn from RichMore also,

it’s a mix of silk and wool. A very neat, soft and silky yarn.
Although it’s a bit FINE, (lace weight) , but I think it should be good to do lace pattern project.

Aren’t they yummy?

I bought them in a local yarn store: Sweet Home Yarn

unit 125, 3255 hwy 7,

First Markham Place

Markham, Ontario L3R 3P9

(905) 474-1788

sorry, no website for this store., but the store lady is very nice, you can call and ask her questions. :)

My lush and lace cardigan is on my half way, I finished the back and right front, still need to knit the Left front and the sleeves.

I hope I can finish it off this weekend, or by the beginning of next week. Then I can start a new project with the new yarn.

Tulip cardigan DONE!

I am so happy that I finally finished one project in a week!

too bad that it’s  not for myself (I am really longing for one!) , it’s a cute cardigan for my love one: Erika. :)

It’s so cute on her.
However, seems like her shoulder isn’t wide  enough to support the ‘wide neck’.
so, next time, I shall reduce the stitches for the neck section.

Other than that , this cardigan just fit her perfectly.

The colorful cardigan on Erika brightens up my day!!

No seaming - my favorite pattern!!!

Very colorful with the Dream in Color yarn!!
