1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely not like?
I like Alpaca, wool, bamboo and silk yarn. I don’t like acrylic or anything with fur like.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
Needle case, wooden box.

3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
I have been knitting for almost 5 years, and I think I will consider myself as intermediate, stepping into advanced level may be?

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
No I don’t, but, I think I shall make one. Ha!

5. What’s your favorite scent?
Lavender and Jasmine.

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?
I love sweets, especially chocolates.

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?
I also love to weave (want to start it this summer), and sometimes needle felting.

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
I love piano music (mostly classical), and I usually play music while driving.

9. What’s your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can’t stand?
Purple, pink, brown, orange and blue. I don’t like yellow and white.

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
I am married and have a 11 months old baby girl! We used to have a maltese before my baby’s born, we miss our beloved dog!

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?
Yes, I do wear scarves, hats and mittens.

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
Shawl, scarves, hats, tank top, camisole, baby cardigan and socks!

13. What are you knitting right now?
Shawl, a short sleeves top, scarf and socks.

14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?
Of course yes!

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
I prefer circular needles, and made of aluminum or wood.

Yes, I do.

about 5 years?! Not really sure.

18. What is your favorite holiday?
Chinese New Year and Christmas!!

YARN and pattern books!

I don’t have any knitting magazine subscriptions. I love Phildar, Rebecca, and Rowan magazines. For the yarn, I am dying to get nice silk yarn!

21. Are there any new techniques you’d like to learn?
Fair isle knitting.

22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?
Yes, I am a sock knitter, adult women size 10.

My swap package!

WOW, I am sooo happy to see this package from my “Knitter’s treasure swap”.

This is the best one I received since I joined the swaps.

You know, it’s hard to find gifts for your friends, and I think it’s even harder to find something for someone you don’t know, and just from what’s described in the questionnaire!

i-cord maker, I have never try this, but I think it’s faster to make an i-cord with this if compare with using two dpn needles. RIGHT?

A very fun pen, great for me as I love to write sometimes.

Stitch markers

 

 

This is my first time to make stitch markers.

It seems easy, but mine, it’s actually very basic one, nothing fancy at all.

The size of this stitch markers may only fit for fingering needle size.

I love these pearl beads, it’s smooth, and shiny!!

I also make some with crystals on top.

Here is a set of 6 stitch markers for my swapping friend (Treasury Swap in Ravelry).  I hope she will love them.

yes, candies and chocolates are my favorites, but prefer without nuts.

any kind of beautiful yarn. (not the stripes yarn, nor the sock yarn.)

9. Are you allergic to anything?
Not really. (for food, I am allergic to cheese, milk stuffs.)

used to have a dog (Maltese), but passed away last year.

I love stitch markers as well, I do receive one set for ‘sock needles’ , but I would love to have something for DK needles as well.

I am a Christian, and don’t believe those zodiac things.

For yarn, I prefer DK/Sports weight, as I knit more for my baby, and I rarely knit socks. I tried to knit socks once, but failed, I don’t have the patient.

I love lace, so, may be fingering weight yarn is also great, as I love to knit shawl too.
