I finished this beret in a day!

It’s super easy and super fast.
In the pattern, it didn’t ask you to knit in round, and I did follow this way, however, I think next time, I can knit it in round, because my sewing is not that good (you need to sew the edge at the end of the work.) ….

If you knit it in round, it will be well balanced.

Anyway, I still love this beret, however, seems a bit small for me, I think I will give it away to someone else.
May be my friend’s daughter.

I need to make a pompom for this beret too, it will look much cuter with it on a little girl. :)

It’s fun to work a fast easy project sometimes, and great that I used two balls from my stash!

Pattern: Seed stitch beret, from Debbie Bliss “Family Knits”.
Yarn: Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk Aran, pink, 2 balls
needles: 4.5mm and 5mm
Size: for average Child’s size.

Lace and Diamond bootee

I am knitting a pair of Lace and diamond bootees for Erika, I want to make a match for her new Gwen Cardigan.

The yarn that I am using is exactly the same color but different name of the yarn: Baby Cashmerino by Debbie Bliss.

It’s finer than the Cashmerino aran, but still easy to knit (however, at the same time, quite easy to slip off from the needles too.)

The size is made for 6 months baby, it’s a bit big for her now, but surely she can wear them in the coming winter!

Gwen Cardigan

Finally , I’ve got this Gwen Cardigan done.

I love it, although my sewing wasn’t that great in the underarm part, but, I think I will just leave it like this.

It looks quite good on Erika as well, I think I just love pink so much that I think Erika looks good on pink as well.

The pattern is very easy to knit, and I love Debbie Bliss’ patterns because they are mostly quite simple the design and technically not too difficult for knitters.
she is happy to wear this cardigan! Picture with motion feel…!

I also love the yarn that I used: Debbie Bliss Cashmerino aran, it’s soft to touch and very stretchy too.

The size for this cardigan is for 6-9 months , but seems like my 3 months old daughter fits this well NOW.
Wow, probably I shall change a bigger size for my next project for her.

At the same time, I want to post this blanket here as well. IT’s another hand knit from my Aunt Elsa, she did a very perfect job here. THe pattern is from one of my Japanese knitting book. I just love it, the yarn that she used is Japanese cotton yarn, with sheen effect.

Thanks Auntie Elsa!

Debbie Bliss’s Gwen cardigan

I bought the “Cashmerino Collection by Debbie Bliss from Knitting Garden, and I was so excited to start the new project : Gwen.

I finally get started, the size for the cardigan is for 6-9 months, and the yarn is Cashmerino DK, it’s very soft and just great for babies.

I love pink, so, I chose the darker pink from Debbie Bliss Cashmerino , and also use some light pink yarn from the Japanese yarn that I bought a week ago. This is merino wool yarn from Nikke Victor Yarn, I bought this discount yarn from a local yarn store in First Markham Place. It was originally $14 for a ball, now, 75% off that, can you resist not to buy it? NO!

Anyway, I hope I can finish this soon, I already did the back and the left front.

I love this color combination , I am a truly PINK LOVER!
