This fabric is one of my favorite ones that I shopped in downtown Toronto.  (Designer’s Fabric Center)

It’s not cheap though, but, I was willing buy it just because I want to use it to make a handbag for myself, and may be a little garment for Erika. (not for selling this time.)

This bag’s pattern is from a Japanese template (by Clover.)

The template thing is just so handy and I can trace them directly to the fabric.
I can make as many bags as I want to by using the same template.

And there are a-h (total 8 styles) different bag styles in one plastic template..

so, what’s it?

Go HERE to take a look, I bought the template from this online store. :)

COOL, right?

This store ships the products directly from Japan, and the good thing is that it’s quite fast the shipping and the packaging is nice. :)

Wow, after learning about sewing, I found that there are SO MUCH FUN to work with fabrics!

Now, I am ‘dreaming’ if I can print my own fabric.

1) screen printing, I have this set of materials since I was in highschool, and I wonder if the paint inside the box works or not. Oh well, if it doesn’t work, I can stock up some new ones, they are not that expensive though. I wanted to make silk screen printing since I was in High school, however, the box remains unopened till today! believe it or not. I will dig it out from my mom’s house, and try it!

2) I found this SITE: spoonflower.com

A very interesting site: it helps you to print your own design fabric. isn’t it cool?

I checked the price for the printing, it’s not CHEAP, but I think, if I am going to order 3-5 yards, it’s quite reasonable, and it will be really unique…..

wow.. can’t wait to design some …

however, I am still in a waiting list, this site is still in beta mode. (Just like when we waited for the “invitation” from Ravelry…. )

In the mean time, I can start with the silk screen printing first. :)

fun fun fun….

knitting?
yes, I did a bit… (yeah, just a bit..)

I think I just can’t stick with ONE craft at a time… :P (That’s why I gave myself a name : Craftlover (not just KNITLOVER)

Here is a birthday gift for Angel, I shall keep this as a secret… or a surprise…

but, I just can’t wait to post it up…

just in case if Angel doesn’t like it, I still have time to make a new one for her.. (Yes, Angel, you can give me any comment.. )

:)

I hope she will love it, as she wants a bigger one, so, I resized the pattern and make it as big as a tote bag!
I love the fabric for the lining, my favorite blue floral pattern. :)

My husband said , “wow, you sewed much faster than knitting! you should sell them in etsy store! “

I wish.

outer fabric: bought from IKEA, inner lining: from tonicliving.com

I love Heather Bailey’s design, her fabrics and sewing patterns are so gorgeous! :)

I tried her pin cushion (it’s free: link)

I didn’t do well for this cushion, I will definitely try again…

but, it’s very useful, I really need it while sewing. :)

I know I’m not good in sewing, but I would like to practice more from now on.

I have a sewing machine, but I would love to sew by hands first. (It’s quieter , because I usually do crafts while baby is sleeping.)

This is the first little pouch sewing by me.

I love this fabric, it’s bought from an online store called Tonic living.

good service with nice fabric choices.
