Biggest Yarn store in Toronto

March 6, 2007

I think most of the knitters love to go to this store , because Romni Wools is the biggest store in Toronto, they carry almost every kind of yarns. The best thing is: they do have sales at least twice a year (in July and Boxing day sale) . My friend Angel and I just love to go there and find out new yarns and new books.

Since the store is located in the downtown area, it’s not easy to find a parking spot. And even you found one on Queen Street, make sure you insert enough coins for parking permit. Because you will never know how long you will stay in the store. If you missed the limit of parking time, you will receive a ticket!

This picture shows the store inside, it’s very big, this is only one of the rows of the yarns.

If you walk down to the basement, they have many discount yarns, and cones and cones of yarn. You can purchase the yarn by weight, or find some good deals from the sale section. It’s really great, I bought some from the discount yarn section, and already knit a cardigan with them.

Location: 658 Queen street west in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Romni Wool Website: http://www.romniwools.com/
However, Romni wool doesn’t have online shopping, if you have a chance to go to Toronto, it’s good to spend few hours in this yarn shop!!

My name is yvonne mulroy. I live in Stirling Scotland. I was wondering if you ever get enquiries about hand knitted baby shawls. I can source 1 ply finest quality wool from the Shetland Islands and would be able to knit shawls for a baby, that when finished are so fine and delicate that they can pass through a ring.

I would be very gratefull if you ever get any requests if you could pass on my email address.

Thanks for your help.
