finally we are home again!

March 14, 2010

Finally we are home in Shenzhen…

In the past two months, Erika and I went to Hong Kong to renew her Canadian passport (her old one was full of stamps and needed to get a new one plus adding more pages) and then we applied for her China visa.  Moreover, we went to TOkyo with my sister in the early March.

During the period of Hong Kong, Erika enrolled a nursery class (2 classes each week, 1 hour for each session), although the classes are short, but she did learn a lot on social skills and basic knowledge.  In these two months, I can really feel the pressure that the people face every day, everyone is very stressful at work. Really can’t breathe….

Every thing in HONG KONG is FAST: walking, eating, ordering food, curtomer service (I like this, no need to line up for too long, it really helps saving up your time.) but sometimes, the people talk too fast that I don’t know if it’s my hearing problem, or they didn’t speak clearly… I need to ask few more times until I really understand what they mean…

Hong Kong transporation fee is quite high, I am glad that Erika is not yet 3 years old so that she doesn’t need to pay a cent for that.   Sometimes, I would rather walk a bit more to save up few bucks and avoid walking up and down the stairs with Erika plus her stroller! It’s really inconvenient that there is no lift in the Subway station, and you need to take the stroller and the kid walking up the stairs… And imagine that NO ONE WILL HELP YOU OUT even though you see so many people walking up and down beside you..

In Hong Kong, you will spend more money because the food is really great and so many choices that you can’t really resist from them.

Erika actually gains a bit more weight after moving to Hong Kong/ Shenzhen, she eats more!!  But her taste doesn’t change much, still love to eat Noodles, rice, chicken and bread, and again, NO GREEN please.

She recently falls in love for Orange juice and Mango Juice….

I said that there are many great food and restaurants in HONG KONG, However,I can’t go wherever I want to go, because with Erika, I can’t go to eat Korean, Thai or Japanese (Sushi) restaurants, there aren’t any good choice for her…. it’s either too spicy, or too ‘raw’! hahaha

After moving back to Shenzhen, I will have more time to cook. Actually, I am looking forward to do that, I do miss HOMEMADE food sometimes.🙂  At home, I can use less salt and oil, and I won’t use any MSG as well. So it’s much more healthy for Erika and my family.

Home sweet home, two of us miss HOME so much, and we do miss the time with daddy as well. :D

ERika misses her toys the most, when we were on the way back home, she kept saying, ‘ I want to cook in my little kitchen, I want to cook the noodles for mommy.. ‘

sweet girl huh!

For the trip in Tokyo, I will share that later.

Last week, we stayed in my in law’s place, and there was a beach near their apartment, we went there twice, and ERika really enjoyed the sand and water.🙂 Here are some pictures to share :

She loves the seashells…🙂 No toy can compare with the sand and water, she can play in the beach for more than an hour! But she can never play one toy for more than 15 minutes!

I love her hair style now.. very much like a mushroom! :)

THe above pictures were taken on March 12, 2010 morning.

The following pictures were taken on March 13, 2010 morning.  She just loves the beach, even more than the park. :)

She loves to play with others too. :)

Hey, I love sand too, what is it? IT’s a turtle..😀 hahahaha

Erika is getting so pretty. Hong Kong sound a little like New York City. Everything is very fast there also.
