lacy silk scarf

I finished the NORO silk garden little shawl last week, and I already started a new project with silk yarn.
This silk yarn was bought in a local yarn store (Linda’s Craftique).
It’s from Handmaiden Fine Yarn, named samira silk, the yardage isn’t a lot though, but 2 skeins should be enough for a scarf.
The pattern that I am using is the OLD pattern that I bought long long time ago, Japanese feather scarf.
I love this yarn’s color, SILVER, I think, it’s actually grey, but with the SILK shiny effect of the yarn itself, it looks like “SILVER”.
Knitting silk is very different from WOOL, for wool , they are more stretchy, but silk, it’s another story.
THey are soft, smooth, and silky to knit, but not stretchy at all.

OTher than knitting, I already packed the stuffs for donation, the good thing is: someone will come over and pick them up, I don’t need to MOVE them to the station. This really helps me to save time and energy!
After the removal of all stuffs, Erika and I will move to my mom’s house, and then I will do BIG BiG clean up for our house.
I hope I will have SOME energy to knit at night before sleep. 🙂

Why so blue?
Stuffs for sale, this is showing only part of it!
EMOTIONALLY: my husband just left to Hong kong Last Sat, and then he will leave to Shanghai on the coming Friday from there.
CD Cases from UMBRA, looks pretty good on the wall.
I am not very down because of his leaving, I know that Erika and I will meet him very soon (around April).
But I was quite frustrated to look at the MESS at my home. Because we need to clean up everything inside the house before we move to my mom house.
Books for sale!
I found that we still have lots of stuffs ‘hidden’ somewhere around the house. And I am going to sell them off. My last (very last) “garage” sale will be on the coming Sat, from 9am till 11:30am only. It’s a very short period of time, because I can’t hold it for too long, it’s really tiring though. (sorry, no reserve, no special appointment and everything in FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis.)

But, I am taking everything EASY and SLOW. And also grabbed sometimes to knit too.
KNITTING in BLUE :
Ishbel shawl , started pattern A
I started a beautiful shawl project: Ishbel. I was inspired by my best friend Angel, she made one with sock yarn that was bought from my stash, it’s so gorgeous! So, I am going to make one too.
I am using Noro silk garden sock yarn (S252) for this shawl, so far I love it. 🙂

(May be I didnt’ touch the needles and yarn for so long, that’s why I have the ENERGY to knit it fast!)

Our family will have a big change very soon: we are moving!
We will move from Canada to CHINA, at first, I thought we will move back to Hong Kong, but then, we realized that we have to move to CHINA (may Shanghai / Beijing)
IT’s not easy for me, because I don’t know how to speak Mandarin, so, it will be a challenge for me.
我們家將會有一個很大的變化：我們要搬家了。
是由加拿大搬到中國去。
我的先生有一份新的工作在中國發展，身為妻子的我當然是‘嫁雞隨雞’喔！
對，是一個很大，且很急的決定。我想我真的要多一點祈禱，求力量，信心，和勇氣。
I miss all my families , friends, church and the life style here.
Oh well, there are some positive facts though: I can learn Mandarin, and ‘travel’ around China.
I was born in Hong Kong, and only went to China (very few places) few times, so, it’s time for us to explore more.
As you know, China is really big and there are many nice places to go.
我想，我最不捨得的是我的家人，朋友，教會，工作，這裡的生活環境。
若要想負面的，多的是。不過，我亦嘗試去想正面的，也可以有很多。
我可以學國語，可以放眼看中國，從新開始新的生活。
Everything will start from the beginning again, and I think it won’t be too hard though, I mean, I am no longer a student, and I am already a mom, a wife, I know what’s priority in my life, so, as long as I have my goal, will, I know how to face the future.
要由頭開始其實是好事，因為，人長大了，懂得‘優先考慮的事’。
我想，人人都希望做事順順利利，但隨著周圍的事，人和物，我們都身不由己。但最重要的是知道自己做事的根基在那裡，堅守原則。
Recently, we don’t know which city we will live, it’s either Beijing or Shanghai, My husband will go to China in March 1st, and then after he settles down everything, ERika and I will move there.
暫時我們還未知道是搬往中國那一個城市（北京或上海），我的先生會在三月初到那裡安頓好，我和女兒便隨著去。
For the friends in Hong Kong and Taiwan, we will have more chances to see each other, because we are much much closer!
for the friends in Canada/USA, I miss you all, and I wish to keep in touch whenever we can.
I think we can make good use of the blog, facebook, emails… right?

在加拿大和美國的朋友們，一定要繼續看我的blog,我一定會更新我的近況，你們也要繼續和我聯絡哦。

I will be pretty busy in these two months because of packing and moving, so, I might not able to update my blog as much as before.
在這兩個月（一月至二月）會是我們一家最忙碌的時間，所以我可能會少一點時間更新我的blog，請大家忍耐哦！
